Thank you for Successful Pohela Boishakh 2013
Dear Bangladeshi Community Members,
Last Saturday we made history together with our biggest event of the year in front of many of our non-Bangladeshi friends and neighbors including executives and officials from Corp. sponsors and City officials, the weather was perfect for our Pohela Boishakh celebrations. Our Special Guest “Grand Mothers of Austin" On time at the stage to honor the Grand Opening ceremony as we planned. We were so delighted that you showed up actual start time and accepted our Food Coupon that was given out till 10:59 am.
BAGA BOD was extremely thankful and happy to see such a huge turnout from the Bangladeshi community and other ethnic communities to jointly celebrate this joyous festival and promote our culture and heritage to the Greater Austin Community. The colorful venue, the dazzling performances and the mouthwatering delicacies entertained all of us. Such a big event cannot be successful without an active and engaged community like you. BAGA BODs are proud and honored to serve this vibrant community whose volunteerism makes our lives easy and rewarding in organizing this event.
BAGA BOD would like to thank our sponsors who helped us make it possible to organize an event of this magnitude. We would like to thank Pragma Systems, IBM, Silicon Lab, H-E-B, City of Austin, DBLtel.net, Mainfacet.com and Texas Gas Service, and many of the local business for their continued support for our community. We would also like to congratulate the 2013 BAGA award winners: Rashed Islam, HEB, Silicon Lab, Ali Kathwa & AARC and acknowledge their support and contribution towards our community.
Special thanks and congratulations goes to all the performers for their dazzling performances. Please join us in thanking the cultural leads who spent countless hours in choreographing and preparing the children, teen and adults for their performances. The venue decoration was very colorful, specially designed for BAGA and earned rave reviews from the audience, and is evident in the colorful pictures. BAGA BOD would like to express our gratitude to all the volunteers who helped make this year's Pohela Boishakh successful.
