BAGABOD wishes you all a happy and joyful month of Ramadan beginning around August 1st.
 
Like past years BAGA is arranging a Community Iftar gathering on Saturday,
August 13th, 2011 at Islamic Center of Brushy Creek(1950 Brushy Creek Road).
BAGA has set up a separate fund/account for this event and requesting your monetary contributions.
Unused funds will be donated to the Mosque.

Dear Bangladeshi Community Members,

As the new 2011 Board of Directors (BOD), we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for entrusting us to serve the Greater Austin Bangladeshi Community. We would like to congratulate and thank the outgoing BOD for their outstanding service, hard work, dedication and countless hours to voluntary work for the very successful past year. We would also like to thank all community volunteers and members who worked tirelessly to keep the torch of community spirit lit.

We have recently conducted our first BOD meeting and elected the following officers as mandated in the By-Laws for the term:

Chair: Syed R Rahman (Rana)

Vice Chair: Shikder Reyad

Secretary: Minhaz Khan

Treasurer: Ahsan Kabeer (Palash)

Moving forward, we shall employ our best effort to maintain transparency in all of our community conducts and we invite your valuable inputs and suggestions in this regard. We would also like our community, the Greater Austin Bangladeshi community to be involved and have a strong representation in the community that we call our home, the Austin community.

We look forward to a year of colorful events, community services activities and harmony in our community.
